Holistic traceability in the system life cycle - Best practice and development needs

Traceability is one of the core concepts in systems engineering, as it represents causal relationships in system models in the form of semantic networks and is therefore essential for knowledge description, tracing path dependencies and impact analyses. However, given the complexity of today's systems of systems, existing traceability concepts are reaching their limits. A possible extension is described in this presentation as a best practice that has already been successfully implemented in various industrial projects. Further open questions and development potentials are derived from this.
